    2009 convention, by-laws changes announced

The executive committee of the Republican Liberty Caucus of Florida Wednesday officially called a state business meeting and convention for March 27-28 to be held at the Embassy Suites in Jacksonville. The RLC of Northeast Florida will host the event.

The convention will be open to all members and friends of the RLC according to current RLCFL bylaws.

The RLCFL's by-laws committee, under RLCer Woody Engle and with the assistance of RLCFL Chair Lisa Bullion and Treasurer Mark Cross and others, offered extensive changes to the RLCFL by-laws, formalizing rules about forming local affiliates and the makeup of the state's executive committee.

Engle told the excom members the goal of changes are to accommodate growth and to provide better representation on the excom of RLCers all over the state.

The by-laws changes were approved by the full RLCFL excom but will require final approval by the membership at the Jacksonville convention.
