See you in Jax!

The agenda is currently being finalized, but speakers will include 2006-2008 House Speaker Marco Rubio, who is a potential contender for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Mel Martinez, and Lawrence W. Reed, president of the Foundation for Economic Education. For more info on Rubio and Reed, go here. There will also be region updates from around the state and a roundtable discussion on the future of the Florida RLC.

There will also be elections held for the chair and other state board positions. Be sure to be part of this important decision about the future of the RLCFL.

Plus, the by-laws committee, led by Woody Engle, has carefully revised our current state by-laws with the intent of providing the standard by-laws template for use in every state. Appproved by the board, these new by-laws changes will be approved by the delegates on the convention floor.

Perhaps more importantly, the convention will provide an opportunity for fun and fellowship with other libertarian Republican activists across the state.

Prior to the convention, be sure to read over the proposed by-laws and also the 2008 recap and other recent history the RLCFL on this website. Also, check out the recap of our last major convention in Florida, held in Orlando in 2006.
