Clarification of Chairman Pitts' remarks regarding Alex Snitker
The Republican Liberty Caucus of Florida (RLCFL) wishes to clear up any confusion about a recent email authored by RLCFL Chairman Will Pitts. His expression of his personal intention to cast his vote for Libertarian Party candidate Alexander Snitker for United States Senate did not represent the official position of the Republican Liberty Caucus.
The Republican Liberty Caucus is prohibited by both its state and national by-laws from endorsing or supporting any candidate who opposes a Republican Party nominee in the general election. If Chairman Pitts' statements created any other impression it was an error.
The Republican Liberty Caucus believes that the most effective way to return our nation to its traditional, Constitutional principles is through the Republican Party. We hope that if Speaker Rubio wins this election, he will go to the Senate as an advocate for the principles of limited government and individual liberty which the RLC and most Florida Republicans believe in.
Sincerely,
The Executive Board of the Republican Liberty Caucus of Florida
Will Pitts, Chair; Steven Talcott-Smith, Vice Chair; Matt Nye, Treasurer; Kristi Dunn, Secretary
