The Dangers of a Nation Divided by Parties and Groups

    America Divided

Most of the Founders understood national division and opposed a party system. With their forethought and knowledge they knew of the disasters that could come from such a system. Many of their very own friends and colleagues shunned the idea of independence from a tyrannical king.

The opponents of independence held true to their beliefs because of what atrocities would come if they opposed the king, and they were right to fear such things. But for some, the idea of liberty and freedom shone too bright to have it extinguished by that fear. These men and women, who then were considered traitors, by supporters of the crown, fought and died to give to us what we know today as our liberty under law.

This gift, that has been handed down to us, was paid for by their blood. Sadly, today, this gift is quickly slipping away into a direction that will lead directly back to the very monster that our founders had put to rest over 230 years ago. This is the evil creature of tyranny. The leviathan with razor fangs and its many blood covered claws is surely marching our way. With it, comes death, destruction and pestilence. A frightening and horrific being that we and generations of Americans before us have never seen. Rest assured this beast was here before and will come again, that is unless, we as Americans - not parties- stop it before it begins to pit one American against another. If this time of brother against brother ever comes, the beast of tyranny will feed on the death and destruction of what is left of this once great nation. My fellow Americans, I am a conservative, I am passionate about my freedom and liberty. My passion has grown with studying the origins and the ideas of freedom and the laws that were written in our constitution to protect these natural freedoms. I am sure that as passionately as I believe in the ideals of liberty, there are those who have that same passion for dependence, and government largess. It must be understood that these passions and emotions of the people of a nation are exactly what tyrants use to get a nation to fight wars amongst themselves. It is a brilliant tyrannical scheme to gain political power and eliminate opposition, no matter what side they appear to be on at the time. It is a matter of history at this point, not opinion. Once people have lost their faith in themselves and their ability to provide, they look to someone for their strength. In my case, I proudly say that God is my strength, and Christ is the reason for my salvation. But in many cases, my fellow countrymen do not look to God but instead look to leaders for their salvation. Many of these people are convinced by their leaders that their passion and emotions are correct, and the defense of them, by any means necessary, is morally justified. When the personal responsibility of bringing harm to another is alleviated by placing the burden of responsibility upon the leader, it seems to make harming another human being justified. Of course strong and well grounded individuals who wholly maintain their essence of personal responsibility could easily determine that harming another human being at the behest of a leader is wrong. In weakness or ignorance is where you have danger. The moment that passion and emotion turns to despise and hatred, violence can easily ensue. We witness this behavior amongst murderers, serial killers and terrorist thugs, who would just as soon behead a human being, as squash a cockroach. Although these situations are extreme, this type of behavior was rooted somewhere at sometime. If we, as Conservatives or Republicans, look to Liberals or Democrats as the "enemy" you can be certain that the feeling is mutual. This "division" is one of the very reasons that our founders drafted the Constitution. To protect liberty and freedom through the sanctity of law. Regardless of ones personal passions or beliefs, liberty and freedom were protected by law. Regardless of who was elected into ANY public office, the law of the land, the Constitution, must always be adhered to. Any deviation from adherence to the law could prove malleability of the law rendering it useless. Today we are witnessing a corrupt political system and government topped by the mal-education of our children. Many generations are unaware to the protection of their liberty, and Constitutional studies have been interchanged with meaningless rhetoric intended to make a student "feel" smart. Educating them on left and right issues, instead of constitutional issues. With this process taking place throughout generations, we see the misconstruction of laws and trampling of our freedoms that are protected by the Constitution. Unfortunately, our country is divided by parties. Now we must walk on those divisive eggshells that our government has created for us. I say we get to cleaning. I say we smash the eggshells, get a broom and a dustpan and start cleaning up the political scene. But that is easier said than done. There are so many, on both sides, who would probably agree on many Constitutional issues, but have never read the Constitution. There are so many, on ALL sides who have no idea what the preamble to the Bill of Rights says, but would assuredly agree to its purpose. The bottom line is freedom, and I do not personally know ANY American who disagrees with being free. The problem is that most Americans have been convinced by leviathan that their beliefs MUST be represented by and fit into one of the two major parties. If you are a supporter of gay rights you are a Democrat and if you are pro-life you are a Republican. This is purely untrue and these are fallacies and trivial generalizations that are used to divide people. It is about LIBERTY. Once AMERICANS realize that, the Constitution will once again be the law of the land, and liberty and freedom will show that America is that shining city on the hill and a beacon for FREEDOM for all the world to see. Regardless of what party we choose to associate ourselves with, we can all agree on Freedom and Liberty, and what our federal government represents now does not reflect that of a nation created by Freedom and Liberty.
